Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and charting for each patient
• Provide prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Collaborate with dentists and staff to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant treatment environment

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to high standards of infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental radiography and imaging equipment
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of periodontal disease prevention and management
• Skill in using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments
• Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
