Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental prophylaxis and cleaning for patients
• Assess oral health and document findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with dentists to develop patient care plans

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist license
• Dental Hygiene certification from an accredited program
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dental team
• Attention to detail and strong infection control practices

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental charting software
• Understanding of periodontal disease and preventive care
• Skill in performing scaling and polishing
• Knowledge of radiographic techniques
• Ability to educate patients on oral health
