Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
- Assess oral health conditions and educate patients on proper hygiene
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures when required
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental hygiene techniques and instruments
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
