Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist during procedures including braces adjustments and wire changes
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe operator
- Take diagnostic X-rays and photographs for treatment planning
- Provide post-procedure instructions and oral hygiene education
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
Qualifications
- You are a certified orthodontic assistant with a passion for patient care
- Hold current BLS/CPR certification
- Possess at least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, preferably orthodontic
- Comfortable with digital radiography and dental software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
