Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with patient procedures and instrument preparation
• Maintain a clean and sterile treatment environment
• Take and develop dental radiographs as directed
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post‑procedure care
• Manage inventory of supplies and ensure proper sterilization of instruments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Dental assisting certification (CDA) preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a dental office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow infection control protocols

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental radiography equipment
• Familiarity with infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills for dental practice management software
