Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night (Third shift), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; specific days not listed — schedule may vary

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
Take and document vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfortable working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM third shift
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills
Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Active CNA certification (required)
BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon hire

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care basics
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
Dependability, attention to detail, and a positive bedside manner
