Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
• Support safe and dignified transfers, mobility assistance, and positioning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in care planning and contribute observations to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (appropriate state certification required)
• Proven experience as a CNA or related direct-care role is a plus
• Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift reliably
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Basic understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA training program completion (required for certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
• Team collaboration and effective communication with clinical staff
• Basic electronic charting or documentation skills
