Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Day shift (evening hours)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes in patient condition
Provide compassionate personal care while maintaining patient dignity and privacy
Support nurses by preparing rooms, assisting with patient transfers, and documenting care
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
Help with light documentation and charting to keep patient records accurate

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain quickly
Completion of a state-approved CNA program
Compliance with state required health screenings and TB testing
Background check and immunization records as required by facility
Previous patient care experience preferred, new CNAs with strong training are welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
Basic wound care and safe patient transfer techniques
Good communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
