Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation to promote emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
• Skill in using vital signs monitoring equipment
• Understanding of HIPAA and resident confidentiality
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Interpersonal skills for engaging with residents, families, and staff
