Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / varied days, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any significant changes
Support mobility needs including safe transfers and ambulation assistance
Document care and observations clearly in resident charts and communicate with the care team
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for residents

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Active CNA authorization in New Mexico or ability to obtain it prior to start
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Reliable, patient-focused, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills and hands-on experience with ADLs
Comfortable taking vital signs and observing/reporting patient condition
Knowledge of safe transfer and lifting techniques
Familiarity with infection control practices and basic charting
Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and clinical staff
