Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to support residents with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Document resident care clearly and timely to ensure continuity and compliance
• Help maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support resident dignity and independence while following individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification or completion of an approved CNA program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a care-focused team
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability on shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and safety techniques
• Skill in taking vital signs and observing/reporting changes
• Familiarity with ADLs, transfers, and safe patient handling
• Good documentation practices and basic computer/EHR navigation
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
