Shift Type: Night shift (days to be confirmed), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and electronic records
- Support therapeutic activities and social engagement to promote quality of life
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Respond calmly in emergencies and follow facility policies and escalation procedures
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- State certification or eligibility to work as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in Maryland
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Comfortable working overnight hours and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and safe transfer/ambulation techniques
- Familiarity with basic vital sign measurement and monitoring
- Strong verbal and written communication for clear documentation
- Person-centered care approach with empathy for older adults
- Basic infection prevention and control practices
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
