Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely OB triage and initial assessment for pregnant patients presenting to the hospital
• Manage inpatient obstetric care including admissions, labor management and deliveries
• Cover in-house obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and collaborate in multidisciplinary critical care
• Communicate in real time with office physicians regarding triage visits, new issues, and deliveries
• Coordinate care with community OBs, family practice physicians and sub-specialists to ensure continuity
• Participate in best-practice initiatives that improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (as referenced in posting)
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (explicitly stated)
• Experience or training in labor & delivery, OB triage and inpatient obstetric care
• Demonstrated ability to manage OB/GYN emergency-department patients and urgent obstetric issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with community OBs and multidisciplinary teams

Education

• MD or DO (Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
• Board-eligible or board-certified in OB/GYN

Knowledge & Skills

• Obstetrics and Gynecology fundamentals, including labor & delivery management
• OB triage and inpatient obstetric care
• Management of obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Multidisciplinary care coordination and real-time clinical communication
• Patient-centered care with an emphasis on quality and safety
