Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Monitor resident condition, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain infection prevention practices and ensure immunization compliance
- Complete required Trinity competency testing and participate in ongoing skills validation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident quality of life
- Support accurate, timely documentation and license/certification verification
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (license/certificate verification required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
- Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations (Fit Test, PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, COVID-19, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, physical/health statement)
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of long-term care clinical practices and resident-centered care
- Skilled in medication administration, wound care basics, and routine assessments
- Familiarity with infection control, immunization requirements, and health screening processes
- Comfort with competency testing protocols and respirator/fit testing procedures
- Able to work collaboratively with nursing assistants, therapy staff, and leadership
