Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
Location: Hartford, CT

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 36 hours per week, every other weekend (EOW), rotating shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments and interventions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent ED experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
