Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition using evidence-based nursing judgment to guide care
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families to encourage recovery and independence
• Perform skilled nursing tasks typical to rehab and acute settings (vital signs, wound care, IV therapy as applicable)
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and quality outcomes every shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN or LPN) - New Mexico licensure preferred or compact licensure where applicable
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) encouraged where relevant
• Clinical experience in rehab, acute care, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings for the facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN for RNs; PN diploma or equivalent for LPNs) or equivalent clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, and medication administration
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled at time management and prioritizing care in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, physicians, and support staff
