Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care in procedural areas including GI lab, EP/Cath lab, and radiology
• Manage ventilation and airway interventions for teens through geriatric patients
• Deliver procedural anesthesia for adult general surgical and neuroradiology cases as needed
• Coordinate care with RN, techs, physician providers, and OR aides to ensure smooth patient flow
• Document anesthesia care thoroughly and maintain high standards of patient safety and infection control
• Adapt to a Level 1 trauma environment and collaborate effectively during high-acuity situations
• Adhere to hospital policies and contribute to a positive, professional team culture

Qualifications

• Active CRNA certification and current state licensure in Texas, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Demonstrated experience in procedural anesthesia, ventilation management, and adult general surgical cases
• Comfort working in GI lab, EP/Cath lab, and radiology procedural settings; cardiac/heart cases are excluded
• Experience with Level 1 trauma settings is a plus
• Must be credentialed prior to start (estimated credentialing timeframe 45-60 days); new graduates will not be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology, physiology, and airway management
• Skilled in ventilation management and intra-procedural patient monitoring
• Familiarity with procedural anesthesia workflows in GI, EP/Cath, and radiology settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills when working with RNs, techs, and physicians
• Ability to triage and respond in a high-acuity, trauma Level 1 environment
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to safety protocols
