Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned on-call shifts
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, efficient care
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support care plans
Participate in handoffs and maintain accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
Per diem or on-call clinical experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to variable schedules

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of acute care nursing practices and safety principles
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Skill in medication administration and infection control
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize under pressure
