Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the endoscopy suite for procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EBUS and bronchoscopy
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, maintaining 1:1 patient ratios as required
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (techs, surgeons, anesthesiology) to ensure smooth, safe procedural flow
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and follow unit-specific policies and guidelines
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment (e.g., Medivators) safely and effectively
• Participate in on-call coverage when scheduled, responding promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas licensure or compact eligibility preferred)
• Required: demonstrated ERCP experience and Complex GI procedure experience — candidates without these skills will not be considered
• Preferred: bronchoscopy experience and familiarity with ION robotic procedures
• Current BLS certification (and ACLS as preferred by some facilities)
• Comfortable working in a 3-room procedural environment with a small, experienced team

Education

• Active RN licensure required; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven competency in endoscopy procedures (colonoscopy, ERCP, EGD, EBUS, bronchoscopy)
• Experience with Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
• Familiarity with Medivators reprocessing equipment and procedural room workflows
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced procedural settings
• Adaptability, positive attitude, and ability to work independently when on-call
