Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic imaging in the perioperative/OR environment with precision and calm
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to deliver timely intraoperative imaging
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining sterile technique and strict infection control
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and report larger concerns
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain clear communication in the patient record
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Participate in competency testing and continuing education to keep skills sharp

Qualifications

• Valid Radiologic Technologist license/certification as required by state
• BLS certification (required) and current at time of hire
• Previous OR experience — must have worked in an operating room setting
• Ability to pass required Trinity checklists and screenings (competency testing, skills checklist, 10-panel drug screen, color vision, fit test)
• Up-to-date vaccinations or acceptable exemptions (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Completed physical/health statement as part of pre-employment requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (preferred) and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid working knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and intraoperative fluoroscopy
• Comfortable with OR protocols, sterile fields, and surgical team communication
• Strong patient positioning skills and attention to radiation dose minimization
• Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and routine maintenance checks
• Good documentation skills and ability to use EMR/PACS systems
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure
