Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality individual and group psychotherapy to adults within the Mental Health STRT program
• Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans based on best practices
• Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions and adapt approaches to meet client needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and support client progress
• Document clinical notes and treatment updates accurately and timely in the clinical record
• Participate in supervision, case consultations, and program development to improve outcomes
• Respond to urgent behavioral health needs in a calm, professional manner and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

• Current license as a Psychologist (PSYL) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) — required
• LPCC credential is a strong plus (listed as preferred)
• Active state license to practice in California and good standing with the licensing board
• Comfort working with diverse adult populations in an outpatient/short-term residential treatment setting
• Strong clinical documentation skills and basic familiarity with electronic health records
• Professional, compassionate bedside manner and the ability to work collaboratively

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology for licensed psychologists or Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field for LMFT/LPCC

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and other interventions)
• Assessment and diagnostic skills for adult mental health conditions
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Good clinical documentation and treatment planning skills
• Cultural competency and trauma-informed care approach
• Team communication and care coordination
