Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and assistance with activities of daily living
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to clinical staff
• Support medication administration and quickMAR processes as directed (preferred experience helpful)
• Coordinate tasks with other PCTs and clinic staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist with specimen labeling and transport, phlebotomy tasks when trained
• Contribute observations and input for individualized service and care plans
• Maintain infection control practices, including proper donning and removing of PPE and isolation precautions
• Support safe patient movement using equipment like Hoyer lifts and bedside commodes

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year prior experience working with seniors required (2 years preferred)
• Previous experience in assisted living, long term care, or acute care is a strong plus
• Experience with vital signs, patient transport, and basic clerical duties preferred
• Phlebotomy, EKG, catheter care, or medication administration experience is a bonus
• Reliable transportation required; travelers must have their own vehicle
• Travel experience not required; locals within 50 miles accepted
• No state license required for this role

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA, PCT training, or equivalent coursework preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient at taking and interpreting vital signs for adults
• Comfortable with bathing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care and ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control, PPE procedures, and isolation precautions
• Experience or willingness to learn Net Solutions charting and QuickMAR workflows
• Basic phlebotomy and specimen labeling/transport skills are a plus
• Safe patient handling skills including use of Hoyer lifts and bedside equipment
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
