Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Thursday-Saturday, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM (3x12-hour day shifts), flexible option Monday-Saturday, no Sundays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and manage complex wounds including pressure ulcers, venous, and neuropathic ulcers to promote healing
Perform advanced wound treatments like sharp debridement, Wound Vac therapy, and dressings with various agents
Educate patients and families on wound care and skin integrity to empower their recovery
Control infections and manage risk factors impacting skin health in a compassionate way
Collaborate with the team on surgical, chronic, and trauma wounds for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2+ years hospital experience (5+ years for first-time travelers)
BLS required, ACLS preferred
WOCN or Wound Care Certification mandatory
Strong Epic experience highly preferred
Comfortable floating to different units for wound treatments

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in wound vac therapy, ulcer assessment, and various dressings
Proficient in infection control, patient teaching, and G-tube/J-tube care
Familiar with Braden scale, pressure ulcer staging, and ostomy management
Skilled in debridement techniques and hyperbaric oxygen therapy
