Wound Care RN
Location: Apple Valley, California
Start Date: 05-19-2026
End Date: 08-18-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Saturday option, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, 3x12-hour day shifts, block schedule M-W preferred, no Sundays
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and manage complex wounds including pressure ulcers and surgical sites
- Apply advanced wound treatments like Wound Vac therapy and sharp debridement
- Educate patients and families on wound care and skin integrity
- Perform ulcer risk assessments using tools like Braden scale
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote healing
- Maintain strict infection control and deliver compassionate care
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- WOCN or Wound Care Certification required
- 2 years hospital experience minimum, first-time travelers need 5+ years
- Epic experience highly preferred
Education
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in wound vac therapy and dressings
- Proficient in ulcer assessment and staging
- Skilled in infection control and patient teaching
- Familiar with ostomy care and continence management
- Comfortable with G-tube/J-tube site care
