Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing and passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and enforce strict aseptic technique
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes
• Help with patient positioning, transport, and pre-operative preparation
• Monitor and replenish sterile supplies to ensure availability for all procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous experience in an operating room or surgical setting is a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and remain focused in fast-paced situations
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile technique
• Understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and composed during surgical procedures
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
