Shift Type: Per diem, 8.5-hour shifts, days and times vary based on availability

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions to help patients improve communication and swallowing skills
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies and home exercises
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Oregon state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates welcome
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of speech and language development
  • Proficient in conducting diagnostic assessments and interpreting results
  • Knowledge of swallowing disorders and treatment techniques
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and families
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
