Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans tailored to each child's needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge care
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required (PALS preferred)
• Previous pediatric or Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and family-centered care
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled in using electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Team player with a compassionate, patient-first approach
