Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting
Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately
Communicate effectively with ER Physicians, Mid-level providers, and other healthcare professionals
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
Work cooperatively with patients, families, physicians, and allied health staff

Qualifications

Degree from an accredited nursing program required
Bachelor's of Nursing degree and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
2 years ER experience required
Current MT State RN license required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or obtained within 6 months of hire

Education

Degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures
Basic office skills and basic computer knowledge
IV skills and ability to operate medical equipment
Assessment Skills
