Respiratory Therapist - RT
Location: Marrero, Louisiana
Start Date: 05-25-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, flexible per diem scheduling
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver life-saving respiratory care to patients in need
- Monitor and manage ventilators and breathing treatments with precision
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes
- Assess respiratory status and respond swiftly to changes
- Educate patients and families on breathing techniques for lasting health
Qualifications
- Active RRT or CRT license in Louisiana
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Recent experience in acute care respiratory therapy
- Compassionate demeanor and quick thinking under pressure
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in ventilator management and airway care
- Proficiency with arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and respiratory protocols
