Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment to optimize patient breathing
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Provide tracheostomy care and intubation assist during critical procedures
• Deliver high flow oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and airway clearance techniques
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document care accurately in Meditech
• Respond quickly and effectively as part of the code blue team
• Operate unit-specific devices including Drager ventilators, Philips V60, Vapotherm, and Metaneb
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and transport teams to coordinate safe patient care

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as listed in the posting)
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• One year of ICU experience preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and critical care procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• ABG collection and analysis
• Tracheostomy care and intubation assist
• High flow oxygen therapy and bronchodilator treatments
• Airway clearance techniques and patient transport
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation
• Experience with Drager ventilators, Philips V60, Vapotherm, and Metaneb
• Strong patient assessment skills and code blue response experience
