Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Deliver physician-ordered respiratory treatments and procedures with clear communication to medical and nursing staff
• Provide clear, compassionate education and instructions to patients and families about respiratory conditions and care plans
• Share clinical knowledge as a role model and preceptor for staff and students
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary to support patient needs
• Plan, implement and evaluate effectiveness of respiratory care interventions

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active Illinois respiratory license
• Current BLS certification
• NRP-MHC certification
• Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to unit needs
• Strong communication and patient education abilities
