Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across the perioperative continuum, from pre-op through PACU, for neonate to geriatric populations
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and anesthesia providers to deliver seamless care
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
- Perform accurate patient assessments, document clearly, and communicate effectively with the surgical team
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Idaho or compact state RN license required upon hire
- Must be able to use high-level reasoning to assess patients and adjust care plans as needed
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Windows
- Multiple years of surgical experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to take call for emergency surgical services on a routine basis
Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates, Diploma, or BSN Degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and perioperative nursing
- Surgical asepsis and medication administration
- Communication with surgical team and patient advocacy
- Competence in circulating and scrub roles (training provided for scrub)
- Knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions, and side effects
- Instrument processing, sterilization, and biological monitoring
