Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to surgical and orthopedic patients
• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical and orthopedic care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho or a compact state
• At least 2 years of recent nursing experience (surgical and/or orthopedic preferred)
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Compassionate, adaptable, and ready to hit the ground running

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of post-operative and orthopedic nursing care
• Expertise in patient assessment and critical thinking
• Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a busy unit
