Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric psychiatric patients in a 26-bed inpatient unit
• Monitor patient behavior, administer medications, and implement therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Maintain patient safety, including use of seclusion room when necessary
• Document patient progress using EPIC charting system
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Utah or compact state
• At least 2 years of recent psychiatric nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required; CPI or AVADE preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in psychiatric nursing, including geriatric psych and bipolar disorder
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of physical restraints and seclusion protocols
