Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor progressive care patients, identifying changes and acting promptly
• Administer medications, treatments and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Perform meaningful patient education and discharge planning to support recovery
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition with confidence and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or multistate compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care (PCU) or similar acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy and critical thinking in fast-paced settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Telemetry and arrhythmia recognition
• Proficient in medication administration and IV management
• Effective communication and teamwork with patients, families and staff
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and charting accuracy
• Time management and ability to handle multiple patient needs safely
