Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to any changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Support and educate families during difficult and stressful times
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain thorough medical records
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure the highest quality of care

Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current PALS certification
• Experience in pediatric critical care or PICU preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts
• Compassionate, reliable, and a great communicator

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care nursing knowledge
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
