Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
• Administer medications, treatments, and life-support interventions per protocol
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists
• Support and educate families during some of life's most challenging moments
• Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition with clarity and precision
• Advocate for the unique needs of each child and ensure a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts (or compact state eligibility)
• PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and critical care knowledge
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfort with ventilators, monitors, and life-support equipment
• Family-centered communication
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Team collaboration and clear documentation
