Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs and medical history collection
• Educate and prepare patients for office procedures
• Assist physicians with specimen collection and preparation
• Collect informed consent forms and prepare surgical packets
• Administer injections under direct supervision of the physician
• Notify patients of test results and recommended care plans

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Must have own vehicle and reliable transportation for the assignment
• Previous travel experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and vital sign measurement
• Administering injections
• Medical assisting procedures and certifications
• BLS and emergency response skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
