Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons during operations, anticipating their needs and handling instruments with precision
• Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient environment
• Document care accurately in Cerner

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated skill level 3 or higher in Joint, Neuro, Ortho, and Vascular surgery
• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner documentation system
• Ability to work variable shifts and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Broad surgical knowledge across general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in sterile technique and OR protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with robotic-assisted surgery
