Registered Nurse - Onc Pod Emergency Dept
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Start Date: 06-01-2026
End Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), floating required, weekends per unit needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver urgent, high-acuity care to oncology patients in a fast-paced ED setting
- Perform proficient IV starts and manage central lines with precision
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to ensure patient stability
- Administer emergency medications and blood products saving lives daily
- Triage patients effectively while collaborating with rapid response teams
- Provide specialized care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience, with 1 year of travel nursing under your belt
- Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- EPIC charting proficiency is a must
- Oncology experience preferred to hit the ground running
Education
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patient care
- Skilled in arterial blood gas interpretation and phlebotomy
- Proficient with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and 12-lead EKGs
- Strong triage abilities, isolation precautions, and pediatric crisis management
