Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to neonates in the NICU
• Monitor and assess vital signs, respiratory status, and response to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other medical interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team
• Educate and support parents and families during their NICU journey
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EHR

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
• NICU experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Neonatal assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Family-centered and developmentally supportive care
• Patient and family education
• Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
• Emergency response and resuscitation
