Location: Arlington, Virginia

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, as needed shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to neonates in the NICU
- Monitor and assess vital signs, respiratory status, and response to treatments
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and other medical interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team
- Educate and support parents and families during their NICU journey
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EHR
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
- NICU experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Family-centered and developmentally supportive care
- Patient and family education
- Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
- Emergency response and resuscitation
- Effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
