Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with complex neurological conditions in a 32-bed Neuro ICU
• Monitor and manage ICP, EVDs, and ventilators for neuro-trauma patients
• Perform comprehensive neuro assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary team
• Float to other ICU floors and telemetry units as needed (1:4 ratio on tele)
• Participate in SIMs lab competencies including sterile field maintenance
• Work alongside world-renowned neurologists at Barrow Neurological Institute

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital (450+ beds)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Must have EVD experience and strong neuro assessment skills
• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact) - willing to wait for license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 18 months of Neuro ICU experience if less than 2 years total
• Travel experience preferred (3-6 months)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR
• Skilled in ICP monitoring and ventilator management
• Understanding of sterile technique for central line dressing changes and Foley insertion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
