Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the MST setting with compassion and clinical expertise
• Perform thorough assessments, develop nursing plans, and implement interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and discharge planning
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligible for California licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS, PALS, or specialty certifications a plus
• Minimum relevant clinical experience; prior MST or med-surg experience preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing acuity in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to comply with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN with relevant experience is welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making in acute care settings
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families, and staff
• Basic emergency response and stabilization techniques
