Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and therapies safely following protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to clinical changes
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
• Maintain meticulous charting and adhere to facility policies and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California (or compact-state licensure as applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred where relevant
• Comfortable caring for med-surg/telemetry patients and handling acute changes
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, vital signs, and telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced overnight settings and triage effectively
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
