Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and comfort at all times

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience or interest in MST specialty (training provided if needed)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
• Proven ability to work independently on night shifts and think critically under pressure
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and teamwork
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and bedside procedures
