Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate couplet care to mothers and newborns in a 34-bed private unit
• Monitor and support patients on Magnesium Sulfate post delivery
• Perform newborn assessments, including circumcision care and patient education
• Administer medications and manage bilirubin blankets and lights as needed
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
• Empower new parents with teaching and encouragement

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Travel experience and Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong couplet care assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable with Cerner EMR and Alaris pumps
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Team player who loves to teach and support new families
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
