Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care
Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and families
Educate patients and caregivers on discharge planning and self-care
Prioritize and coordinate care across a busy Med/Surg unit to optimize outcomes
Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or compact RN license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
Previous Med/Surg clinical experience preferred (new graduates may be considered with strong clinical training)
Strong critical thinking, triage, and patient assessment skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred but not strictly required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
