Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to med-surg and rehabilitation patients
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions throughout the night
• Collaborate with physicians, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Document patient progress accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float to other units when needed to support hospital-wide patient care
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of Med-Surg experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Active RN license required
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays in rotation
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Knowledge of med-surg nursing standards, including patient assessments and medication administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and float to other units when applicable
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
