Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and their families
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout the birthing process
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, and epidural anesthesia procedures
• Care for newborns immediately after delivery and support new parents
• Circulate and recover C/S patients in the operating room
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact license (NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM certification
• Comfortable with advanced skills like circulating and recovering C/S patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of labor support techniques and pain management options
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient with CPN and Meditech documentation systems
