Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical precision
• Manage ventilators and troubleshoot respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilator support
• Titrate and manage drips safely and according to ICU protocols
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and act on cardiac rate and rhythm issues
• Care for trauma and medically complex patients (DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, medical detox)
• Monitor and manage arterial lines and CVP measurements when required
• Collaborate with emergency department leadership who oversee the ICU and support continuity of care
• Participate in a focused orientation (three 12-hour unit shifts) and support unit teamwork and safety coaching

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to submit — license required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute/ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and PALS required
• TNCC or TCAR certification, or equivalent experience caring for trauma patients
• Ability to pass required fit testing (no facial hair that prevents an appropriate fit test)
• Comfort titrating IV drips and managing ventilated patients
• MEDITECH charting experience is a plus

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN not required (BSN: No)

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU-focused bedside nursing and critical care assessment
• Ventilator management and respiratory troubleshooting
• IV drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Trauma patient care principles and rapid assessment
• Arterial line and CVP monitoring
• Sepsis and DKA management
• Familiarity with MEDITECH electronic charting
