Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Perform continuous monitoring and timely assessment of patient status
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilators per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed, staying calm under pressure
• Support families with clear explanations and compassionate communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Louisiana or eligible for reciprocity
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required by facility
• Previous ICU experience preferred; strong critical care skills and judgment
• Comfort with telemetry, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and complex wound/line care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and advanced patient monitoring
• Familiarity with ventilator settings and respiratory support
• Medication administration and IV infusion/drip titration
• ACLS/BLS protocols and emergency response
• Electronic health record documentation and clinical reporting
• Team collaboration, prioritization, and time management under pressure
